You'd press them yourself and keep them, but you've realized something: pressing flowers correctly is not as simple as sticking them between the pages in a stack of books.
The problem with preserving your own flowers
If you've looked into pressing flowers on your own, you probably already discovered this:
Every flower behaves differently. What works for a rose could ruin a lily.
Delicate, layered blooms — poppies and ranunculus, for example — have to be taken apart and pressed petal by petal or they mold, brown, or turn into a nondescript blob in the press.
A traditional flower press means checking your flowers and changing the paper for weeks while they slowly dry.
Proper equipment — a good dehydrator, professional-grade presses — can cost hundreds of dollars, and then you have to learn how to use it!
If you’re planning to buy flowers to practice before the big day, you could spend $100 or more on practice flowers trying to figure out how best to press each flower.
On top of all that, there's one thing that makes this different from any other craft project: you don't get a second bouquet. Your flowers are irreplaceable. There’s no do-over. No running to the store for another. If it doesn't work, your precious flowers are ruined.
The steep learning curve and zero margin for error are exactly why most people who want to preserve their flowers never actually do it. The flowers sit in the fridge or on the counter, slowly wilting while you try to find the time and courage to start.

I press flowers for a living. Every bouquet that comes through my studio is handled by hand, flower by flower, using the same professional dehydrators and presses I use for my own farm's blooms — the ones I use in my beautiful art.

You’ll get back a set of finished, ready-to-use pressed botanicals — flowers and greenery, preserved at their best — ready for you to arrange into whatever you're dreaming of: framed art, a shadow box, resin art, or another keepsake that can become an heirloom.
What’s included in custom flower preservation?
Up to 30 pressed botanical pieces (flowers and greenery stems). For comparison, the average bridal bouquet has 25-35 stems.
Flowers pressed whole when possible, preserving their natural form and beauty
Extremely delicate blooms (like poppies, ranunculus, and orchids) pressed petal-by-petal, as this is the best way to preserve them — these arrive ready for you to reconstruct into their original shape
Color correction on select blooms. Occasionally a few blooms may be drained of color during the preservation process. In that case, I’ll re-color the flower so it’s reminiscent of the original. Full color enhancement of the entire order is offered as an optional add-on service.
Turnaround: 2–4 weeks from when I receive your flowers

How it works
1. Book your preservation. Reserve your spot and let me know a bit about your flowers and the occasion behind them.
2. Get your flowers to me while they’re fresh. This is the part that matters most — the condition your flowers are in when they reach me has a direct effect on how well they press. There are three options:
- Local pickup (within 50 miles) is available for a fee.
- Free drop-off at select locations in Greene County.
- Shipping - Overnight your flowers to me within 48 hours of your event so they arrive as fresh as possible.
3. I press them by hand. Each bloom is sorted, prepped, and pressed using the right technique for that specific flower — no guessing, no experimenting on your bouquet.
4. Your botanicals go home. In 2–4 weeks, your finished, preserved flowers arrive ready for you to create with.
